Caitlyn Bosker ‘s go to places — For a dose of natural beauty and a great breakfast, I like to walk to The Botanical Gardens on the weekend with my dog, with breakfast at The Terrace.
For the best sanga in Melbourne you have to go to Hugo’s Deli on Swan Street and be sure to duck into Super Cheese next door for supplies. I love the vibe at Clover and Mathieson – cosy wine bars for a great night out with friends. For lower energy days, visit the Avenue Bookstore on Swan Street, followed by a wander through the fab designer nursery at Glasshaus. That’s the beauty of Richmond – you choose how you roll.
Q:
How long have you called Richmond home?
A:
I’ve called Richmond home for 19 years. I bought my place on a whim; walked past it on a Friday and bought it on Monday. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made, and I have loved every moment of living here.
Q:
What do you love most about living here?
A:
There is so much to love about living in Richmond. At one level, the proximity to everything that’s good and enjoyable in life is what makes it great. Seeing a show in the city? You can be there in 15 minutes. Watching the football at the MCG? Walk there. Catching up with friends? Wander down to one of several award-winning restaurants. The number of choices you have is what makes it intoxicating.
If you delve deeper, Richmond has a very generous and inclusive nature. The beating heart of the suburb is the people; we take the time to know and celebrate each other. We share our abundant fruit and herb harvests, we gather in local parks for drinks, we share contacts for the best tradies, we look after each other’s pets; we care for each other.
Richmond throws its arms around you when you live here.
